Teri Steinberg

Teri Steinberg, Associate Attorney

Teri earned her undergraduate from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University. After graduating she moved to New York City and worked in-house at International Creative Management (now ICM Partners), one of the world’s leading talent agencies. She focused on the literary department negotiating all agreements for books, film, television and magazines. Becoming interested in agenting, she moved to a boutique firm where she continued to work as the in-house attorney while simultaneously representing the magazine and foreign rights for internationally best-selling writers. She represented Dan Brown in fifty countries at the height of his career and handled all international ancillary rights related to his film deals. She eventually started her own literary agency where she represented a wide range of fiction and non-fiction writers both in the United States and abroad and had many corporate clients, including Amazon Publishing, working with them to start its own foreign rights program. With so many changes in the publishing world and realizing she wanted a change in lifestyle, she moved to Telluride to once again practice law and enjoy the outdoors. She feels very fortunate to be working at Zemke Law.
