Daniel Zemke was born in Detroit, Michigan. Due to his father’s career successes at IBM, he lived in many different cities growing up but eventually attended high school in Boulder, Colorado. It was there that he fell in love with all the amenities this beautiful state has to offer. A 1991 graduate of the University of San Francisco, Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in American History and later earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Stanford University in 1997. In 2004, Daniel graduated from The University of Tulsa College of Law where he was Managing Editor of the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law and competed on the ATLA trial competition team winning awards for advocacy.

A resident of Telluride, Colorado since 2006, Daniel has served on multiple non-profit boards including One to One Mentoring, Telluride Theatre and the Telluride Fire Protect District. Daniel opened his law practice in 2012 after Daniel after serving as General Counsel for the Telluride Ski & Golf Resort. Aside from managing daily legal work for his law practice, Daniel currently serves as the Municipal Judge for the towns of Telluride, Naturita and Norwood, Colorado. He takes pride in serving communities all across the Western Slope of Colorado.

As an advocate, Daniel understands the importance of thinking on one’s feet, having a firm understanding of client goals, and bringing about resolution that serves all parties. Daniel has experience in estate planning, probate and guardianship, corporate law transactions and entity formation and all forms of residential and commercial real estate practice. He prides himself in detailed drafting of business agreements, construction contracts, and real estate agreements for his client needs.

When he’s not working for his clients, Daniel enjoys all forms of outdoor activity, spending time with kids, cooking, traveling to foreign countries and attending live music shows.
